Klabin’s 3Q adjusted EBITDA increased by 13 per cent to R$585 million ($172 million)
(Sao Paulo, Brazil, Nov. 17, 2016) Boosted by pulp revenues of R$491 million ($145 million) from the Puma Unit, Klabin’s 3Q 2016 net revenues including wood reached R$1,965 million, 36% and 16% more than in 3Q 2015 and 2Q 2016, respectively. Revenues were negatively impacted both by lower FX rates during the period in comparison to the previous periods, impacting all products exported by the company, and also lower average dollar denominated prices for pulp sales.

Acting on behalf of North European Bio Tech Oy (NEB), St1 has begun the analysis and signed letters of intent with Alholmens Kraft and UPM on a sawdust-based ethanol plant in the Alholma industrial area in Pietarsaari. Andritz to upgrade bleaching system for Cartulinas CMPC in Maule, Chile
(Graz, Austria, Nov. 16, 2016) International technology Group Andritz has received an order from Cartulinas CMPC S.A. to upgrade the complete bleaching system at its mill in Maule, Chile, which processes 100% radiata pine for the production of softwood BTMP (bleached thermo-mechanical pulp). Cellwood to deliver a hot dispersing unit to Shandong Tiandiyuan Paper in China
(Shanghai, China, Nov. 06, 2016) Cellwood Machinery Trading Shanghai has signed an agreement for delivery of a 260 Tpd - Krima Hot Dispersing Unit to Shandong Tiandiyuan Paper. The delivery will take place early 2017 and will be a part of Shandong Tiandiyuan Papers new test liner project.

Menasha Packaging to centralize its Minnesota operations; will optimize efficiencies
(USA, Nov. 16, 2016) Menasha will consolidate its Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, corrugated sheet plant into the company’s Lakeville, Minnesota, plant by the end of March 2017. The consolidation will optimize efficiencies and centralize the company’s Minnesota manufacturing operations in support of growth of its retail display services.
