Valmet to supply a rewinder to Roto-cart in Italy
(Helsinki, Finland, Sept. 30, 2016) The Italian tissue converting company Roto-cart Spa has selected Valmet as supplier for their new rewinder to be installed at the greenfield converting plant in Castelminio di Resana in Italy. The new site will be one of the biggest in the country.

SCA closes baby diaper business in Mexico

Voith to Supply Liansheng Paper in Taiwan with New Packaging Paper Machine
(Heidenheim, Germany, September 29, 2016) Voith said that it will supply Liansheng Paper Industry (Longhai) Co., Ltd. with a new packaging paper machine, to be designated PM 9.
The new machine will be located in Liansheng’s paper mill in the Zhangzhou Taiwanese Investment Zone.
PM 9 will have a wire width of 7,300 mm and reel width of 6,660 mm, with a design speed of 1400 m/min and an operating speed of 1300 m/min.

(Helsinki, Finland, September 29, 2016) Valmet will supply paper machine modifications and a new winder to Laakirchen Papier AG in Austria. Laakirchen Papier will convert its paper machine 10 (PM 10) to produce lightweight containerboard. Currently PM 10 is producing publication paper. The start-up of the paper machine and the winder is scheduled for the autumn of 2017.

ST Tissue Announces $35 Million Capacity Expansion Project at Franklin, VA Mill
(Franklin, Virginia, USA, Sept. 29, 2016) Tak Investments, owner of tissue mills in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin and Franklin, Virginia, on Sept. 27 announced a $40 million expansion project at its Franklin facility -- ST Tissue.
The expansion project includes the addition of a 50,000 ton per year dry crepe tissue (DCT) machine, alongside its existing 70,000-ton-per-year wet crepe machine.

Belarusian paper mill eyes higher exports following upgrade
