Pulp Stats: Global producers stock July 2016

(Stockholm, Sweden, August 24, 2016) In July, global producers’ stocks increased by 4 days of supply to 39 days, with softwood kraft as well as hardwood kraft up 4 days. Global shipments declined marginally compared to July last year, down 0.5%. Softwood kraft pulp reached an average shipment-to-capacity ratio of 90%, while hardwood reached 84%. Stats: China’s pulp imports surge in July 2016

(Beijing, August 30, 2016) As per data recently released by China Customs, the country’s pulp imports spiked in July 2016, month-over-month. China imported 1.823 million tonnes of pulp, a 15.5% surge MoM. China's imports of BSK rose 12.2% to 688,740 tonnes in July; BHK was up 35.6% to 755,597 tonnes. Stora Enso to invest EUR 6.6 million in its corrugated packaging business in Sweden
