Andritz to upgrade woodyard systems at Sappi’s mill in Skowhegan, USA

U.S. containerboard production in September increased 2 Percent; boxboard production down 4.2%

(Washington DC, USA, Oct. 20, 2016) The American Forest & Paper Association released its September 2016 U.S. Containerboard Statistics Report which said containerboard production was 2 percent higher compared to September 2015. The month-over-month average daily production compared to August 2016 was 1.4 percent lower. Paper Recycling Rate in Europe Reached 71.5% in 2015

(Brussels, Oct. 20, 2016) The European Recovered Paper Council (ERPC) announced that the paper recycling rate in Europe reached an impressive 71.5% in 2015. According to ERPC’s final monitoring report for 2015, compared to 2010, collection and recycling has increased by almost one million tonnes of paper.
