Valmet to rebuild Metsä Tissue’s tissue machines in Raubach in Germany and Pauliström in Sweden
(Helsinki, Finland, September 21, 2016) Metsä Tissue has selected Valmet as supplier for the upgrades of tissue machine TM3 in Raubach, Germany and the tissue machine in Pauliström, Sweden.

Georgia-Pacific completed an approximately $40 million expansion at its Gurdon, Arkansas, lumber operations. The project expands the production capacity of the lumber mill by approximately 60%.

Crane Currency to Build Banknote Printing Facility in Malta
(Tumba, Sweden, Sept. 21, 2016) Crane Currency today announced plans to build a new banknote printing facility and customer experience center in the country of Malta. The Malta facility will represent an investment of approximately $100 million for the construction of the factory, the machinery and the equipment.

Södra reports operating profit of SEK 553 million ($64.5 million) in January-August 2016
(Stockholm, Sweden, 21 Sept. 2016) Within the context of Södra’s Group strategy, investments and restructuring are now being realized to increase competitiveness and long-term profitability. The results for 2016 will be impacted, and operating profit for the first eight months of the year totalled SEK 553 million ($64.5 million).
