Klabin’s 3Q adjusted EBITDA increased by 13 per cent to R$585 million ($172 million)
(Sao Paulo, Brazil, Nov. 17, 2016) Boosted by pulp revenues of R$491 million ($145 million) from the Puma Unit, Klabin’s 3Q 2016 net revenues including wood reached R$1,965 million, 36% and 16% more than in 3Q 2015 and 2Q 2016, respectively. Revenues were negatively impacted both by lower FX rates during the period in comparison to the previous periods, impacting all products exported by the company, and also lower average dollar denominated prices for pulp sales.
Paper and packaging sales volume amounted to 472 thousand tonnes, a 2% increase in relation to 3Q 2015 and 5% in relation to 2 Q 2016. On the back of FX rate changes during the quarter, paper and packaging sales to the domestic market increased 4% in relation to 2Q16.
3Q 2016 Adjusted EBITDA reached R$585 million ($172 million), a 13% increase when compared to 3Q 2015.
The pro-forma net revenue, considering Klabin’s stake in the revenue of Florestal Vale do Corisco S.A. totalled R$1,982 million in the quarter.
